New Records & High Flyers
Another great year of AWSA skiing is in the books! Late last week, hundreds of skiers from across the country flocked to West Palm Beach, FL for the AWSA National Tournament. There was a lot of great action on and off the water with big scores, and new records. Here is a taste of the big scores from the event: Waterski Magazine Editor, Todd Ristorcelli set a pending world record of 5 buoys at 41 off, cruising at 34mph.
Shortly after the National Tournament, the Pro's headed to Canada for the Calgary Pro Water Ski Shootout. MasterCraft had a great showing with Ryan Dodd, Karen Truelove, and Freddy Krueger all making it onto the podium! Ryan and Freddy took first and second respectively in Men's Jump, and Karen took first in Women's Slalom! Congratulations and great skiing!

Midwest MasterCraft X Star Demo
We were fortunate enough to host the 2013 MasterCraft X Star for two days before it had to head out to the next dealer on the list. This particular Star is the third one made and stopping at dealerships across the country. We were able to take this out on a number of demos and able to get our Pro Shop Manager Eric, who also happens to be the 2005 Men's 1, National Wakeboard champion out riding behind it.

I was able to grab a few thoughts from Eric after his session. "The new Star is unreal. The wake is a perfect blend of transition and lip. It's really easy to get vertical pop from this wake without a hard edge."
We picked the boat up in Madison, WI which is about 4-5 hours away from us. We were surprised at how well it traveled down the road. Here is the awesome looking rig people got to see rolling down the highway.

MasterCraft Team Skiers Podium at 53rd US Masters
MasterCraft team skiers Ryan Dodd, Freddy Krueger, Karen Truelove, and Alex Lauretano all had phenomenal performances at the 53rd US Masters over Memorial Day weekend at Callaway Gardens.
Alex Lauretano scored a total of 5,310 points for a fourth place finish in the Women's Pro Trick division.
Karen Truelove gave it her best in the Pro Women's Slalom finals and scored 2 buoys at 38 off. That score landed her just off the podium with a fourth place finish.

Canada's Ryan Dodd and USA's Freddy Krueger went 1-2 on the Pro Men's Jump Podium. Dodd edged out Freddy by a mere 2 feet.

MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Announces 2012 Schedule
The largest and most storied professional wakeboarding circuit in the world is gearing up for its 21stseason, as the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink unveiled today its 2012 schedule. The 2012 Pro Tour will visit five cities throughout the United States, including a brand new venue in the Midwest.
The 2012 season will kick off May 18 at Dallas Landing Park in Acworth, Ga. and wrap up on July 28 at Volunteer Landing in Knoxville, Tenn.
Between Acworth and Knoxville, the Pro Tour will make stops in Fort Worth, Tex., Monroe, Wash., and its newest venue inBranson, Mo.
The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink is a five-stop series points race for the Pro Tour title. Athletes accumulate points at every stop, based on placement in each contest. The highest total points-earner at the end of the five-event season will be crowned the Pro Tour champion.
Last year, Phillip Soven topped the 2011 standings, earning his fourth Pro Tour title in five years. Soven won the season-long points race after edging out teenage Australian phenom Harley Clifford 480 points to 445. As the defending titlist, Soven will enter the 2012 season as the top-ranked rider on the Pro Tour.
